Body Massage Course Overview
Body Massage (also know as Swedish Body Massage) is an essential skill for any beauty therapists and our four day body massage course provides students with the skills to conduct consultations and techniques for swedish body massage. Using professional techniques which help with relaxation and stimulation of the whole body, reducing stress and helping with circulation, students will be able to confidently carry out a full body massage which includes additional areas such as the face and scalp.

Anatomy and physiology of the body is incorporated into this course, so that you have a complete knowledge of the structure and functions of each area. As part of the course, the importance of client care, health and safety and how to market yourself will also be covered.
You will learn the theory of massage as well as the practical movements of treating the whole body
This body massage course opens the door for you to also complete other courses such as reflexology, sports massage, aromatherapy and hot stone massage.
The course involves 3 days of practical in-college training followed by 6 weeks of home study, which will include case studies and theory workbooks. You will then be required to attend a review day prior to being qualified in Body Massage. The review day will include practical assessment and a theory paper.
There a two qualification levels with either BABTAC or VTCT. Both levels will enable to you work within the industry and you can choose this at the checkout stage.
Once you successfully completed the Body Massage Course you will be awarded with the Diploma which enables you to obtain insurance.

Qualification
Once you have successfully completed the Body Massage course you will be awarded with a Diploma which enables you to obtain insurance through BABTAC. This course is also available as a VTCT qualification. You can add this to your shopping cart at the end of the booking process.
Entry Requirements
No previous experience, qualifications or knowledge within the beauty and nail industry is required to attend the Body Massage course. The course starts from a basic level and therefore is recommended for anyone wishing to go into the beauty industry.
Insurance
The Body Massage course is fully accredited with BABTAC Beauty insurance. This insurance cover will allow you to provide treatments on paying clients. On successful completion of the Body Massage course a Next Step Beauty Diploma certificate will be issued and a photocopy of this will be required by the insurance company to process your application of insurance.
