Fiberglass and Silk Course Overview
The Fiberglass and Silk nail course can be taken as a 2 day course or as part of the complete nail technician course. The first day is your theory and practical input then the second day is 6-8 weeks later and this is your review day.
You will study a combination of theory and practical work during the course, allowing you to gain all the relevant information and skills that you require to become a professional and qualified nail technician.
To attend the course you must already have completed a recognised qualification in manicure.
The course will cover everything from the basic natural silk overlay and nail repair, tip application and blending, fiberglass and silk application, maintenance and removals. All training stock is provided for you during the course days at the college, however we do advise you purchase a starter kit from us for the 6-8 weeks practice at home. Your tutor will advise you on how to go about ordering this and recommended products to use.
A detailed course manual will also be provided which is yours to take away and make notes on during the course, if theory and written work is not your strong point then do not panic as this manual will provide you with everything you need to know. We are there to support you during your training so if additional support is needed please let us know.
After completing this course you will have the knowledge and skills to go straight into the industry working as a professional nail technician.
Your qualification will allow you to gain your public liability insurance ensuring you are covered to work in the industry.

Qualification
Once you have successfully completed the Fiberglass and Silk Nail Extensions course you will be awarded with the Next Step Beauty Diploma which enables you to obtain insurance through BABTAC.
Entry Requirements
You will be required to hold a recognised manicure certificate to attend the fibreglass and silk nail extensions course however no previous experience or knowledge about nail extensions is required. Find out more about our manicure course
Insurance
The Fiberglass and Silk Nail Extensions course is fully accredited with BABTAC Beauty insurance. This insurance cover will allow you to provide treatments on paying clients. On successful completion of the course a Next Step Beauty Diploma certificate will be issued and a photocopy of this will be required by the insurance company to process your application of insurance.
