Manicure Course Overview
The manicure course is the perfect way to enter the industry as a nail technician or beauty therapist. No prior experience or knowledge in manicure is required to attend the course. The course will start from beginners level which means anyone can attend and begin their first steps into the industry.
The manicure course will be a combination of theory and practical work allowing you to gain a professional level of qualification. You will have a detailed course manual to work from so if theory and writing is not your strongest point there is no need to panic as it is all written down for you in your manual which is yours to take away.
During the course you will work with the college training stock so no kit is needed to attend the first day of the course, however we do recommend you purchase a starter kit from us for the 6-8 week practice time at home before your review day. Your tutor will advise you on recommended products to work with and how to go about purchasing your kits when you attend the course.
All student work on one another as we believe it is important to not only carry out the treatment but to experience the treatment yourself, so we ask all students to attend with no nail extensions on or nail polish.
Once you have completed the manicure course, you will be able to go onto attending a range of different courses either as a nail technician or beauty therapist it really is your first step into the industry.

Qualification
Once you have successfully completed the Manicure course you will be awarded with the Next Step Beauty Diploma which enables you to obtain insurance through BABTAC.
Entry Requirements
No previous experience, qualifications or knowledge within the beauty industry is required to attend the Manicure course. The course starts from a basic level and therefore is recommended for anyone wishing to go into the beauty industry.
Insurance
The Manicure course is fully accredited with BABTAC Beauty insurance. This insurance cover will allow you to provide treatments on paying clients. On successful completion of the course a Next Step Beauty Diploma certificate will be issued and a photocopy of this will be required by the insurance company to process your application of insurance.
