The module is seven units, the largest of our makeup courses. Three of them are complete looks in their own right — natural, elegant and glamorous — because brides arrive with very different ideas of what bridal means, and you need all three in hand before a trial.

How Long Does the Bridal Makeup Course Take?

There are 30 units across four modules, seven of them on bridal work. Because three of those units are separate full looks, the practical side is effectively three portfolios rather than one — plan for more model sessions than a standard makeup course needs. Most students complete their training within a few weeks to a few months.

How Is the Course Delivered?

Entirely online, with each of the three bridal looks demonstrated in full by Victoria rather than as highlights, so you can see how one builds into the next. You arrange your own models for the practical work.

How Am I Assessed?

All 30 units are assessed, with unlimited resubmissions. Each of the three looks is assessed separately, because a natural bridal face and a glamorous one fail in different ways — one looks unfinished, the other looks heavy in photographs.

Is the Bridal Makeup Course Accredited?

Yes — by ABT, IPHM and IGCT. The certificate is recognised by insurers including Towergate, Radius, Insync and Balens. Bridal work is usually done at a venue or the bride’s home rather than in a salon, so check that your cover extends to mobile work — each insurer sets its own terms.

Does This Course Cover Lashes?

Is There a Kit For This Course?

No. Bridal kits are built around the skin tones and finishes you work with, and long-wear products matter more here than in everyday makeup. What you should invest in is a setting routine you trust — bridal makeup is judged eight hours after you leave.

Do I Need to Do the Makeup Course First?

No. This course carries its own preparation and products unit and teaches three complete looks from the start. Many students do both, because weddings are seasonal and general makeup fills the rest of the year.

What Business Training Is Included?

The Foundation module’s 12 units cover business promotion, promoting products and services, retail legislation, reception duties and taking payments. Bridal is booked a year out and paid in stages, so the units on deposits, payments and client communication are the ones that protect your diary.
