Brows are the treatment clients rebook most often, and a defined brow is a short appointment with a good margin. This course teaches the four techniques that make up a full brow service — tinting, shaping, waxing and threading — so you can read a client’s face shape, agree a shape with them and deliver it, rather than offering a tint on its own.

The course runs entirely online. Victoria demonstrates each technique in step-by-step video lessons, you work through the theory in your own time, then practise on your own models and submit your work for tutor feedback.

What You’ll Be Able To Do

• Measure and map a brow shape that suits the client’s features
• Mix and apply brow tint, judging development time by hair and skin colour
• Wax the brow line safely, including around the sensitive skin of the eye area
• Thread to clean up the shape where waxing is not suitable
• Recognise contra-indications from the skin health module and know when to decline a treatment
• Give aftercare that keeps the shape looking right until the rebook

What To Learn Alongside Eyebrow Definition

What You’ll Need To Practise

You need brow tint and developer, a wax pot and strips, brow thread, mapping string and the usual consultation and hygiene supplies. Our Eyebrow Definition Kit brings these together in one order, and it is optional — if you already have products you work with, use those.

How Long Does the Eyebrow Definition Course Take?

There are 28 units across four modules. The brow module itself is only five units, but it covers four separate techniques, so most of your time goes on practising tinting, waxing and threading rather than on reading. Most students complete their training within a few weeks to a few months, and there is no deadline — you keep lifetime access to the materials.

How Is the Course Delivered?

Entirely online. Each of the four brow techniques has its own step-by-step video, demonstrated by Victoria, alongside written theory you can return to while you practise. You supply your own models for the practical work.

How Am I Assessed?

Every one of the 28 units is assessed, and you can resubmit as many times as you need. Because the brow module is technique-led, the assessment focuses on whether your shaping and tinting decisions suit the client in front of you, not just on recall.

Is the Eyebrow Definition Course Accredited?

Yes — by ABT, IPHM and IGCT. The certificate is recognised by insurers including Towergate, Radius, Insync and Balens, though each insurer sets its own requirements, so check with yours before you take bookings.

Do I Need to Buy the Kit?

No. The Eyebrow Definition Kit is there if you would rather order everything at once, but the course works just as well with products you already use.

Do I Need Any Experience?

No. The Foundation and Anatomy and Physiology modules start from the beginning, and the Anatomy module includes a unit on the eye specifically, so you understand the area you are working around before you pick up tweezers or wax.

What Business Training Is Included?

The Foundation module’s 12 units cover business promotion, promoting products and services, retail legislation, reception duties and taking payments — the parts of running brow appointments that sit outside the treatment itself.
