A lash lift works on the lashes the client already has. A lifting solution softens the lash so it can be shaped over a rod, then a setting solution fixes the new curl. Nothing is attached, so there is no infill cycle and nothing to remove — which is exactly why some clients choose it over extensions.

That makes it a useful second lash service rather than a competing one. It is a shorter appointment than a full set of extensions, it suits clients who cannot commit to a rebooking cycle, and it is the option for anyone whose natural lashes will not carry the weight of volume work.

What To Learn Alongside Lash Lift

What You’ll Need To Practise

You need a lift system (lifting and setting solutions plus a nourishing step), silicone rods in several sizes, adhesive for the rods, applicators and the usual consultation and hygiene supplies. Our Lash Lift Kit covers these, and is optional — but timings vary by brand, so work with one system while you learn.

How Long Does the Lash Lift Course Take?

There are 24 units across three modules — the shortest of our lash courses. The lift module itself is three units, and the treatment is a timed process rather than a hand skill, so it comes together faster than extensions do. Most students complete their training within a few weeks to a few months.

How Is the Course Delivered?

Entirely online. The application unit is the one to study closely, because a lift is decided by timing and rod choice rather than by dexterity — Victoria works through both on camera at the pace you would use on a client. You arrange your own models.

How Am I Assessed?

All 24 units are assessed, with unlimited resubmissions. The lift module is assessed on judgement rather than speed: whether the rod you chose suited the lash length, and whether your timings matched the condition of the lashes in front of you.

Is the Lash Lift Course Accredited?

Yes — by ABT, IPHM and IGCT. The certificate is recognised by insurers including Towergate, Radius, Insync and Balens. A lift uses chemical solutions close to the eye, so insurers commonly ask about patch testing — each sets its own requirements.

Does This Course Include the Skin Modules?

No — and that is deliberate. A lift works on the lash rather than the skin, so the course runs Foundation, Anatomy and Physiology and the Lash Lift module. The Anatomy module still covers the eye and hair structure, which is the groundwork a lift needs.

Do I Need to Buy the Kit?

No. The Lash Lift Kit matches the system in the videos. If you use another brand, follow its own timings rather than the ones demonstrated — this is the one place where copying the video exactly is the wrong move.

What Business Training Is Included?

The Foundation module’s 12 units cover business promotion, promoting products and services, reception duties, retail legislation and taking payments. A lift has no infill cycle to lean on, so the promotion units matter more here — rebookings come from reminders rather than from a set growing out.
