Lamination is the brow treatment clients now ask for by name. Unlike a tint, it works on the hair itself, softening and resetting it so the brow sits in a fuller, brushed-up shape. That makes it a higher price point than a standard brow appointment, and it is one of the few brow services clients will travel for.

It is also a chemical treatment, which is why this module is the longest of the brow courses. Two of its six units are given over to contra-indications, contra-actions, patch testing and consultation before you reach the procedure itself. The course is delivered online, with Victoria demonstrating each stage in step-by-step video.

What You’ll Need To Practise

You need a lamination system (lifting and setting solutions plus nourishing balm), applicators, a brow comb, patch test supplies and the usual consultation and hygiene items. How Long Does the Brow Lamination Course Take?

There are 29 units across four modules, and the lamination module is six units — the longest of our brow courses, because the safety and consultation side needs covering properly before the procedure. Practice sessions also have to be spaced out, since every model needs a patch test first. Most students complete their training within a few weeks to a few months.

How Is the Course Delivered?

Entirely online. The procedure unit is the one to watch closely: timings for the lifting and setting solutions are where most beginner results go wrong, and Victoria works through them at the pace you would use on a client. You arrange your own models.

How Am I Assessed?

All 29 units are assessed, with unlimited resubmissions. This is the one brow course where a large part of the assessment is about what you do before the treatment — patch testing, consultation, and identifying the hair and skin conditions that mean you should not proceed.

Is the Brow Lamination Course Accredited?

Yes — by ABT, IPHM and IGCT. The certificate is recognised by insurers including Towergate, Radius, Insync and Balens. Because lamination is a chemical treatment, insurers are particularly likely to ask about your patch testing procedure, and each sets its own requirements.

Do I Need to Buy the Kit?

No, but this is the course where the kit choice matters most. The Brow Lamination Kit matches the system shown in the videos. If you use a different brand, follow that brand’s timings rather than the ones on screen.

Do I Need Any Experience?

No, though this is a chemical treatment, so the groundwork matters. The Anatomy and Physiology module opens with hair structure and removal, and the Skin Healthcare module covers skin types and disorders — both feed directly into the contra-indications unit.

What Business Training Is Included?

The Foundation module’s 12 units cover business promotion, promoting products and services, reception duties, retail legislation and taking payments. Lamination sits at a higher price point than most brow work, so the pricing and promotion side is worth the time.
