Why One Kit Instead Of A Box Of Henna

Henna is sold everywhere as a box of colours, and the colours are the easy part. What decides the result is what happens before it goes on.

A brow that has not been scrubbed and shampooed is a brow with oil and makeup on it, and henna will not stain through either. The scrub and shampoo in this kit are the difference between a two-week stain and a two-day one.

Five shades matter because henna shifts on skin — what looks right in the dish is not what develops. Having black through to golden brown is what lets you mix for the client in front of you rather than apply the one shade you own.

Do I have to buy the kit to take the course?

No. Kits are optional and are not part of the course fee. Nothing in the Henna Brows Course is tied to a brand, so a henna system you already use is fine.

How is henna different from a normal brow tint?

Tint colours the hair. Henna colours the hair and stains the skin underneath, so gaps look filled. The hair colour lasts around four to six weeks; the skin stain usually a week or two.

Can I use it on clients who have had tint before?

Yes, though the brow needs to be properly cleansed first — residue from previous products is the usual reason a stain comes out patchy. The scrub and shampoo in the kit are there for that.

Why five colours?

Because henna develops differently on different skins, and most good results are mixed rather than straight from one bottle. Five shades gives you a range to blend across.
