Business training for therapists who want the business side as worked out as the treatment. Our Beauty Business Courses help you plan your week, price your work properly and keep clients coming back.
Written for solo, mobile and small-salon therapists, and self-paced with lifetime access. These are business courses rather than accredited treatment training, so they carry a Next Step Beauty certificate of completion — for an accredited diploma, start with our treatment courses.

Not Sure Where to Start?
Pick the option that sounds most like you.
I Am Just Starting Out
You have the skills, or you are training now, and you want a plan before the first client. The 90-Day Beauty Plan takes under an hour to work through and leaves you with a one-page plan, your prices worked out and your first four weeks of next steps.
I Already Have Clients
Your diary has started to fill and the questions change: what to charge, how to get clients rebooking, and how to earn more without adding hours. Start with the plan, then build on it with the courses coming next.
I Am Training in a Treatment
Business training is included with every Next Step Beauty course. These business courses go further, for when you would rather plan properly than pick it up as you go.
Our Business Courses
The 90-Day Beauty Plan is available now. The courses below are in development and will be added here as each one is ready. Every course builds on a part of the plan: your clients, your treatments and prices, your skills and confidence, or your time and wellbeing.
Build a one-page 90-day plan for your beauty business, price your treatments properly and keep it moving with a simple weekly routine.
Believe In Your Beauty Business
Confidence and self-belief for therapists who have the skills but doubt the business.
Consultations, Complaints and Keeping Clients
Listening properly, asking better questions, handling complaints and getting clients rebooking.
Build Your Beauty Brand and Get Booked
Who your ideal client is, what you stand for, and a simple content plan that brings bookings.
Earn More Without Working More Hours
Know your numbers, then work the three levers: spend per visit, how often clients come, and price.
Look After You: Wellbeing for Beauty Therapists
Posture, movement, eating well on a busy day, rest, and spotting the early signs of burnout.
Design Your Beauty Business
Mobile, home salon, rented room or salon: how to set up, and which treatments earn their place.
Find Your Why
Score what actually drives you, then use it to choose the kind of beauty work that suits you.
Show Up With Confidence
Talking about your treatments and prices, filming short videos and speaking in front of people.
Hiring and Leading Your First Salon Team
Taking on staff or renting out chairs: job descriptions, interviews, contracts and team culture.

After Your Course: From Plan to Paying Clients
Finishing the course is the start of the next step. Here is how the ninety days usually run.
1. Work Through the Plan
Set aside about an hour. You finish with a one-page plan, your prices worked out and your first four weeks mapped out.
2. Put It Into Practice
Ninety days is long enough to change something and short enough to stay with it. Work the plan week by week.
3. Check What Changed
At the end of the cycle, look at what actually moved: clients, rebookings, average spend and the hours you worked.
4. Start the Next Ninety Days
Lifetime access means you can download a fresh plan and go again, building on whatever worked last time.
Why Business Training Matters
Most beauty training teaches the treatment. Much less of it covers what happens next: what to charge, how to fill a week, and how to keep the clients you already have. That gap is where a lot of capable therapists get stuck.
- Pricing with confidence: many therapists set prices by copying what everyone else charges, then find the figure does not cover products, travel and the hours that are not treatment time.
- A week that works: it is easy to fill a diary with the wrong appointments. Planning around the treatments that earn their place leaves room for the rest of your life.
- Clients who come back: finding a new client takes far more effort than keeping one. A proper consultation, sensible aftercare and a rebooking habit do most of that work.
- Something to follow: a plan you can see beats good intentions. Ninety days is long enough to change something and short enough to stay with it.
- It fits around your training: business training is included with every Next Step Beauty course, so you can start planning while you are still learning the treatment.
What The 90-Day Beauty Plan Covers
The plan is built around four areas. You set your own target in each one, and the course walks you through choosing it and working out the numbers behind it.
Clients
Who your work is for, where those people actually come from, and what keeps them coming back. Most therapists have more potential clients around them than they realise. Covers asking for the rebooking before the client leaves, the aftercare message that asks for you, and why referrals and reviews beat any advert.
Treatments and Prices
Which treatments earn their place in your week, and what each needs to cost. The price calculator takes your products, travel, time between clients and unpaid hours and shows what a treatment costs before any profit. Many find the number they charge does not cover it.
Skills and Confidence
What to learn next, and in what order, so your training follows your clients rather than your curiosity. It also covers talking about your prices and your work plainly — the part most people find hardest, and the one that changes income fastest.
Time and Wellbeing
The hours you genuinely want to work, written down before the diary fills them. Beauty work is physical, and mobile and home-salon therapists tend to say yes until something gives. Covers your ideal week and protecting the time you have promised yourself.
Alongside the units you get a printable workbook, fillable worksheets, an Excel price calculator and a client tracker — all yours to keep and use again each time you start a new ninety days.
Beauty Business Courses: Turn Your Skills Into a Business
Our beauty business courses are for therapists who already have skills, or are learning them now, and want the business side to be as worked out as the treatment. They are online and self-paced, with lifetime access, so you can start the day you enrol and come back to the material whenever something changes.
Next Step Beauty has been teaching online since 2008 and more than 100,000 students have trained with us. In that time the same questions have come up again and again from people who finish a course and then stall: what should I charge, where do I find clients, how do I stop giving away my evenings. Those questions have nothing to do with how well someone can do a treatment, and they are what these courses answer.
The first course, The 90-Day Beauty Plan, takes under an hour to work through and leaves you with a one-page plan for the next ninety days. It covers four areas — your clients, your treatments and prices, your skills and confidence, and your time and wellbeing — and comes with a printable workbook, fillable worksheets, a price calculator and a client tracker. Nine units, each with tutorial videos, an eBook and a short assessment you can retake as many times as you need.
These are business courses rather than accredited treatment training. They carry a Next Step Beauty certificate of completion, and they are not a substitute for a treatment qualification. If you are looking for an accredited diploma, our nail, beauty, massage and holistic courses are accredited by ABT, IPHM and IGCT, and business training is included with every one of them.
More business courses are in development, covering confidence, consultations and complaints, branding and getting booked, earning more without working longer, and looking after yourself in a physical job. They will appear on this page as they are ready.

Beauty Business Course FAQs
Do I Need a Beauty Qualification to Take a Business Course?
No. The business courses stand on their own. They are most useful if you already treat clients or are training now, but nothing in them depends on holding a particular qualification.
Are These Courses Accredited?
No. Our business courses carry a Next Step Beauty certificate of completion. They are about planning and running your business rather than performing a treatment, so there is no treatment body to accredit them. Our nail, beauty, massage and holistic treatment courses are accredited by ABT, IPHM and IGCT.
How Long Does The 90-Day Beauty Plan Take?
The plan itself takes under an hour to work through. The ninety days that follow are the point: you put the plan into practice week by week, and the course material stays available throughout. Lifetime access means you can start a fresh ninety days whenever you want.
What Do I Get With the Course?
Nine units with tutorial videos and a 65-page eBook, a printable workbook, fillable worksheets, an Excel price calculator and a client tracker. Everything is yours to keep and use again each time you start a new cycle.
Will This Get Me More Clients?
No course can promise clients. What this one does is make sure you know who your work is for, what you charge and why, and what you will do each week to bring people in — and that at the end of ninety days you can see whether it worked.
What If I Do Not Pass an Assessment?
Each unit ends with a multiple-choice assessment you can retake as many times as you need. There is no tutor marking on the business courses and nothing to upload.
When Will the Other Business Courses Be Available?
They are in development and will be added to this page as each one is ready. We have not set dates for them yet.
Can I Take This Alongside a Treatment Course?
Yes, and most people do. Business training is included with every Next Step Beauty course. The business courses go further, for anyone who would rather plan properly than pick it up as they go.
