Does it include a heater?

Yes, a digital wax heater, which matters more with hot wax than with strip — the working temperature window is narrower.

Do I need to do strip waxing first?

Not necessarily, but most people learn strip first because the areas are more forgiving. The Waxing Kit covers that method.
