This is for you if you already work in nails and want to add control gel — the thick, shapeable gel that sits between acrylic and builder gel. It does not run like a soft gel and it does not go off while you are placing it like acrylic, which is why technicians who have fought both tend to end up here.
It is built around the Fusion Gel Course, so it carries the IBD control gel system the course works with: three gels, the solution that stops it sticking to the brush, the brush and spatula, and the bond underneath.
It is a system kit rather than a starter kit. It assumes you already have a lamp, files, tips and prep from another system. If you are starting from nothing, the Builder in a Bottle Kit or the Complete Nail Kit include those as well.
Control gel is the system where the accessories decide whether it works. The gel will stick to anything it touches unless you use the right solution, and it will drag unless the brush is firm enough to push rather than paint.
This kit is IBD’s own set end to end: Power Bond under the gel, the IBD control brush and spatula to place and shape it, and IBD’s control gel solution to keep the brush moving. Nothing in it is a substitute for something else.
The tubes are 56g, which is a working size rather than a trial pot. Clear, intense white and warm pink cover a natural overlay, a French and a full cover.
The full item list is below. What it adds up to is this:
No. Kits are optional and are not part of the course fee. Nothing in the Fusion Gel Course is tied to a brand, so a control gel system you already use is fine.
No. Control gel cures under a lamp, so you will need one — this kit is the gel system itself rather than a full starter set. If you do not have a lamp yet, the Builder in a Bottle Kit and the Gel Polish Kit both include one.
A lamp, files and a buffer, tips or forms if you are adding length, and acetone for removal. Most people buying this kit already have those from another system.
Builder in a Bottle is thinner and self-levelling, brushed on from the bottle. Control gel is thicker and stays exactly where you put it, so you shape it rather than letting it settle. It gives more control over apex and structure, and takes more practice to place.
Professional. IBD throughout, in 56g tubes rather than trial sizes.

Yes. Pay in 3 interest-free instalments with Klarna, PayPal or Clearpay at the checkout.
The gels, bond and solution are consumables and get used up with practice. The brush and spatula stay with you.
